Advent 2020

When you sit and think about your life, do you think about Jesus? Do you think about God? What dominates your thoughts? You'd be surprised to know how much that affects you.

"Just Because It's English Doesn't Mean It's the Same Language." Sometimes things get said in church over and over and we end up forgetting what they actually mean. In part one, we discuss "Christian", "Church," and "Gospel."

There are times where we are confronted with things that make no sense, that terrify and hurt so, so, badly. Like Jesus, our humanity makes us utterly desperate for God to rid us of our tension and suffering. But Jesus did not wallow in self-pity or stubbornly assert His own human will. Instead, He surrendered to the Father...

I like to consider myself a “good” Christian. I pray daily, read the Bible, go to church, give my ten percent, lead a small group, and volunteer on an assortment of service teams. If Christendom had a checklist, I’d have all the boxes checked. And that’s enough, right? Not quite.

What is the cost of salvation? Is it worth it? Justin walks through what the Gospel says about our relationship with Christ and what it means to be saved.

Want to be a better neighbor in your community? Pastor Heath describes four ways to be a good neighbor.

Pastor Heath Haynes discusses how our actions and words should align, and the responsibility we have as individuals within a church body, Christianity, and the world as a whole.

God values hard work. Before the Fall, He “took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it” (Gen 2:15). Before (and during) their ministries, Jesus was a carpenter, Peter was a fisherman, and Paul was a tentmaker. When I first entered the workforce after college, I was proud of my career in supply chain management. I enjoyed tackling new challenges and moving up in my career. So when God called me to full-time ministry, to be obedient and surrender, I ran from him.

Pastor Heath Haynes discusses busyness, priorities, and how we can live our lives with Christ as our balance.
